Thomas Cup - Malaysia lost to China

I was rather disappointed with our national players during their semi final clashes with China in the recent Thomas Cup tournament. World no. 1 Lee Chong Wei lost again to his nemesis Lin Dan. They have met each other for a total of 21 times and Lin Dan won 15 times. World no. 1 doubles player Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong also lost to China Fu Hai Feng and Cai Yun. China players seems too strong in attacking and solid in defence. Then all hope lies on veteran Wong Choong Han who then as expected lost to Chen Jin of China.

All three matches Malaysia lost in straight games. To me it is expected that Malaysia will lose but I did not expect them to lose so poorly. All three matches China won in straight games. We might have world no.1 players but yet China has the best players in the world. What does World No. 1 ranking means?

Score:
Lin Dan beat Lee Chong Wei (21-17, 21-8)

Cai Yun-Fu Hai Feng beat Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong (21-15, 21-10)

Chen Jin beat Wong Choong Han (21-16, 21-7)

Well, it is 18 years back since Malaysia lifted the Thomas Cup in 1992. Maybe I should now train my kids and bring back the cup... hahahaha.... or maybe football.

Sick ! Sick ! Sick !

Long time did not update my blog liao so decided to write a bit of my worst days. I have fell sick for the whole week. What illness? .... I got FEVER, FLU, COUGH and SORETHROAT! It all started when I woke up one Monday morning. Started to have sorethroat but still I went to work. After a couple of hours in the office, I got myself a mild fever. Decided to head home to rest. Took some panadols pills and off I went to sleep.

Later in the evening I got a fever of 40 degrees! Tracy send me to a clinic asap. Took the medicine given and again went to sleep. Next day, the fever did not go away and came the flu and cough. Damn. Was very week the whole day and was scare it was H1N1. Went to the hospital to check again. Doctor says it wasn't H1N1. That was a bit relief. For the whole week the fever comes and goes. From 37 degrees to 39 degrees and then back to 37 degrees. Worst still is that I got to fly to China at the end of the week.

Rested for the whole week and I did go to China with Tracy. It was one of the worst business trip ever. I was still sick for the 1st few days there. As I was getting better, Tracy then suddenly fell sick! Oh my god..... She got the same fever, flu and cough. I think I had tranfers the virus to her. We we're in China for 5 days 4 nights and sadly most of the time we just rested in our hotel rooms. But we still manage to do what ever business we were there to do.

Just got back to KL last night and we're both still sick!...... sigh...... worst is Oswald and my Mom also sick!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

8th Day of Me and My Kids

Finally it is the 8th day, Tracy and my parents will be back tonight after their 1 week business trip to China. Oscar, Oswald and I miss Tracy a lot. She has never been away from us for so long. During this 1 week, I have gotten even much closer with my 2 kids. Although they are naugthy at all times but somehow it was a pleasure seeing them screaming and running around. They are growing pretty fast as Oswald now can speak a few simple words. As for Oscar, he just graduated from his 2nd kindergarden year. His report card was actually quite good. No matter how fast they are growing, they will always be my small lovely monsters.. love them always... hee hee

Can't wait to see Tracy tonight!

4th Day of Me and my Kids

Well well... it is now Thursday morning and I have been taking care of my kids for 3 days already. Believe me, it ain't an easy task. Now I'm feeling a bit tired and sometimes stressed out. As you know, both my kids is not the regular kids. They are the SUPER DUPER HYPER ACTIVE type. They made me shout and run around the house every night! Dinner is really a tiring job as Oswald won't eat quickly. He will smile at you then run away and I will be chasing after him with a bowl and spoon in my hand. Oscar is better as he could feed himself now.

Getting them to fall a sleep is just time consuming. Both of them will then ask "Where is Mommy? Where is Grandpa? Where is GrandMa?" ... I repeated the same answer 3 to 4 times every night! Will need at least an hour for them to doze off. By then it is already almost 11pm. I then need to get ready the school uniform, school bag, wash clothes, wash milk bottle and dishes etc etc etc... sigh... oh ya, I only got the time to take my dinner at 11pm yesterday night....

Not much sleep lately. 3 nights down and 4 more nights to go before my savour comes back!

Just me and my two kids

Tracy will be flying to China for 1 week in a few hours time. The worst thing is that both my parents are going along too. Yup, for business again. Now I will have to care of my my kids Oscar and Oswald for 1 whole week. Could not sleep so decided to update my blog after sometime.

My parents and Tracy will be going to Xiamen, China to look at some tea process. Actually it is me that would go along with her but I suggested that maybe my parents should go. They have not been out overseas for quite sometime and they agree. But I had to take care both my kids. For a whole week! Now thinking of it already scare me. Ha Ha.

A brief of what I needed to do everyday:-

1. Wake up at 6.30am and wake up both my kids. Make milk for them as breakfast.
2. Send Oscar to school and then Oswald to nanny's place.
3. Need to rush to my office before 9am.
4. Then as usual busy with my work.
5. After work at 5.30pm need to pick up Oswald and Oscar.
6. Need to buy dinner and feed both my kids.
7. At 9.30pm, make milk and time for the kids to sleep.
8. After they slept, need to get ready Oscar school bag for the next day.
9. Wash clothes.
10. .......... My free time!!!.. but dunno what time will that be already...:(

Hopefully I could handle the week without much problem. Wish me luck guys!

Lunch, Movie & Tea @ Pavillion KL

Ya ya... yes yes.... Tracy and I went to Pavillion again. We went for the movie Fast & Furious 4. Before the movie we went to have a quick bite. Tracy wanted to try out Subway, a sandwich bar. There's quite a lot of varieties of sandwich to choose. Tracy chose the ham sandwich and the bar attendant get his hand on. Slicing the bread, applying some butter and placing the meat. Then he ask us what vegetables we want to add in. I just say "All in" and he gladly did so. It was a set meal so it came with a cup of tea. I did not taste it cause I was still full from the breakfast I had. Tracy seems to enjoyed it.

We then head straight to the movie theatre. Notice a lot of new movie trailers such as X-Men and Transformers so expected to watch both of them..haha.. movie begins and ended. Nothing much to say about it. Overall, the movie Fast & Furious was quite a satisfactory one. After the movie, I was my turn to feel hungry. We decided to try out the cone pizza outlet called Kono Pizza. The topping was almost no different from the regular pizza shops. Just that the serve in cones. Ordered a set meal which comes with salad, mushroom soup, garlic bread, a soft drink and the cone pizza itself. The salad, soup and bread tasted normal. Main thing is what the cone tasted. To my amazement it tasted normal too... hahaha.. the set costs me RM16.90.

Another day passes by. Expenses for the day.....

Sandwich - RM12.00 kua ( I did not paid for it )
Movie - RM25.00 for 2 pax
Popcorns & drinks - RM4.60
Pizza - RM16.90
Car park - RM12.00 !!!!!!

Total: RM70.50 !!! without beers this time.. hee hee

Lunch @ Pavillion

It was a normal weekday with nothing much to do, Tracy and I went to Pavillion for lunch. Decided to go for sushi and straight we went to Sakae Sushi. It was almost after lunch hour so there were'nt much patrons. The interior was very comfy. As usual, we sat by the sushi rail so that we could grab whatever we want. Tracy loves sushi very much, especially sashimi sushi. It was a reasonable thickness of the sashimi meat and fresh. I had a beer to goes down with my Chicken Teriyaki Don. We manage to chomp down a few plates of sushi and the bill came up to RM70.25. Quite an expensive lunch but we a damn full lunch.

We then head for a little window shopping. Notice a lot of sales going on lately maybe due to the economical crisis we are facing. Then Tracy had the sudden urge to eat donuts and we could only think of J Co. Donuts. We bought a box of 6 donuts which costs us another RM12.50. Then we head to a restaurant cum bar for drinks. I drank more beers and Tracy had a tea and eating her donuts. The bill there came RM30.25.

Overall, the whole afternoon we had use up a grand total of RM120++. I think I should cut less on beers... hee hee

Lucky Numbers?

It is on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year and as usual my mom will pay respect to the GODS. After the incense were burnt off, I notice some numbers on them. What I think I saw was the number 9 5 1. Tracy says it's 9 3 1. Since we could not see the 4th number, we did not bet on them. The next day, I went to check on the results and there were a lot of these 3 numbers. The closes number should be 9 5 1 5 with a special prize category. Well, if I could really sees the fourth number, sure I bet on it!.... GONG XI FA CHAI !!!!

Vteck & Stella Wedding - 19th to 21st Dec 2008 (J.B.)

We been waiting for this day to come and finally it does. A gang of friends travel to Johore Bahru to celebrate Vteck & Stella wedding. We went a day earlier so that we could enjoy ourselves. Reaches there at 12pm on 19th Dec 2008. Had lunch and the ladies went straight for shopping. We guys then went for snooker. Later in the night, the groom Vteck suggest karaoke and off we go. Since the karaoke package includes a cake, so we decided to celebrate Butt's B'day there too. It wasn't plan in that way as we earlier on plan to do it in Vteck & Stella wedding. Now I bet he'll be surprise tomorrow night.. hee hee

The next day we went over to the grooms house. The groom and bride just looks fantastic! The dinner was great too just that the MC was kinda annoying. After the dinner, we then pushed out another cake which is meant for Butt b'day. He was really shocked as he thought it ended the other night. I think he really shed some tears leh.. hee hee... After that we went for drinking session again but sadly Vteck could not join us!.. Anyway, a great trip, a great wedding with a great friends!

A good laugh to brighten up the day

1. Losing all your friends
Gary comes home and finds Tracy with his friend in bed.
He shoots his friend and kills him. Tracy says "If you behave like this, you will lose ALL your friends."

2. Sister wanted
Oscar wrote to Santa Claus,"send me a sister"....
Santa wrote back, "SEND ME YOUR MOTHER"....

3. Meaning of WIFE
Gary asks, "Do you know the meaning of WIFE? It means 'Without Information Fighting Everytime'!"
Tracy replies, "No, it means 'With Idiot For Ever'!!!"

4. Importance of a period
Teacher: "Do you know the importance of a period?"
Oswald: "Yeah, once my sister said she has missed one, my mom fainted, dad got a heart attack & our driver ran away."

5. Confident vs. confidential
Oscar asks his Dad Gary, "What is the difference between confident and confidential?"
Gary says, "You are my son, I'm confident about that. Your friend over there, is also my son, that's confidential! "

6. Anger management?
Gary: "When I get mad at you, you never fight back. How do you control your anger?"
Tracy: "I clean the toilet."
Gary: "How does that help?"
Tracy: "I use your toothbrush ."

Please note that the names above are for laughing matter only. .. Not real! ... hee hee ...

AirAsia VS MAS

Since a friend of mine kp0046 talks about politics and complain me to post more relevant stuff, I decide to talk about business.

AirAsia Berhad
Low cost carrier AirAsia has abolished the fuel surcharge for all its domestic and international flights, starting Tuesday.Passengers need now only pay fares, airport taxes and administration fees, said group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes. He also said that the airline would be focusing on aggressive marketing and low fares.Fernandes however said that AirAsia could not guarantee that the surcharge would not be re-imposed if the oil price surged again. The airline under its regional campaign is also giving away 500,000 free seats to all destinations from tomorrow until Nov 16 and for travel between June 22 and Oct 24, 2009.

Malaysian Airlines (MAS)
MAS is looking to reduce its surcharge further to give customers the best value for their money, its senior general manager, sales, Datuk Bernard Francis, said Tuesday. In response to enquiries on the national carrier's fuel surcharge, he said MAS has already reduced it by 50-73 percent for its all-inclusive low fares promotion, covering domestic travel, Asean, Australia and many other countries.Customers loved the cheapest deals in town, and the airline's sales surged 400 percent, he said in a statement here Tuesday."We hear our customers loud and clear, and we are looking at reducing the surcharge further to continue to give customers what they want -- low fares plus five-star products and services, giving customers the best value for their money," he said.

MY OPINION?
Where are we going to travel after Bali? Hee Hee...

Datukship

Todays newspaper said that the government will award Datukship to our national no. 1 player Lee Chong Wei for winning the Olympic silver medal. Just like Nicol David, who is world no.1 squash player also awarded a Datukship earlier. Isn't it great when you play good in sports you'll get the honour. Must train my kids now. What sports should I train them? hhmmmmm...... maybe weightlifting.. hee hee
